LOOLA!
22 June 2010 Went to Bintan - Loola from 16th to 19th. Went there with Scouts, NCDCC and ArtClub. - Day 1 ;  Assembled in school at around 6.40, then MrsYeow gave a speech. Left school for the ferry terminal at around 7 i guess. The boat ride was swaying damn vigorously, me and Chermaine was seasick :/ . After 2 looooong hours, we finally reached Bintan. Took another bus to Loola. Had our first meal there first. After that went to Yayasan Bina Insan to meet up with the orphans.They are mad cute i swear !  Group Photo. Super windy and nice ! Lights out at 10 Indonisia time. Day 2 ; Had breakfast at 7.30 by the sea (wee.) , then went for SeaFlatMarineWalk. Had to wear shoes and walk on the low-tide sea. Shoes got bloody wet and UNCOMFTABLE. Walked for like an hour, before finally going back to Loola. Our next activites were Coco and Skywalk. My group got to do Coco first.  Coconut tree climbing actually. When it was my turn, i was halfway through and a lizard dropped from the tree to my hand. Bloody disgusting. Shaked it off and continued climbing. Managed to get to the top ! ^^ Next was SKYWALK ! It was damn funn.  You're supposed to climb up the stairs at the right, then walk on the stick to the center, with your harness as support. From there, you gotta jump off. It was awesome i tell you ! ^^ . Had our lunch after that! After lunch, it was time for our Boom Netting ! Most fun activity this whole trip, i want to go again ! Basically theres two floors for you to jump from, the lower floor and the higher one. Jumped from the higher one into the net , more funnn !  How it look like from the second floor. Ultra fun ! Boat back to Loola after 3 hours of fun. Had dinner then lights out. Day 3 ; Breakfast at usual time, 7.30. Then had Obstacle Course. The boys went first, then the girls. When it was GK's turn,one of the logs came off from the rope. And.....the rest of the girls didnt have to do it ! ^^ After that had the tarzan-like thing, which you have to swing from one side to the other, using the rope. Not that fun though . :/ FlyingFox after that. Was one of the last to do it.  Thats where you jump from,and where you land.(water.) Damn fun too, but at the end hit my head against the metal thing, ouch == . And the water's seawater. SALTY TO THE MAXXXXX. Washed up, and had our lunch after that (: After lunch, Kayaking time ! Super boring and tiring. Got a little seasick too. Kayak-ed back to Loola. Washed up again and its time for the Campfire. This time, the orphans came to join us ! ^^  Them alighting from the bus ! Played some games and singalong sessions. Had our dinner afterwards and the campfire was lit.  Fire blazing. Had even more songs sang and it started to drizzle. Due to that, the orphans had to leave us early :( . But before they go, they sang us 3 songs which touched most of our hearts.  Most of us cried when they left. Really hope to see them again. :( Day 4 ; Packed our stuff and did area cleaning, before setting off for TanjungPinang. Bought some snacks at the supermarket there, and played arcade. After having our lunch at Charlie's Chicken, we set off for the ferry terminal. We board the Penguin boat and Home Sweet Home ! Loola is Awesome i swear. Ps ; photos from Mr Low's and Mdm Faz's fb. |
